Paulela Dill Harrill, age 85, of Forest City, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Willow Ridge Nursing Center.
Born May 19, 1929 in Greer, SC, she was a daughter to the late Francis Edgar Dill and Stella Corn Dill. She was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1947. Paulela worked for Stonecutter Mill for several years and was the cafeteria manager at Caroleen Elementary School until 1968 and then worked for Scott Vending before retiring. She was a faithful and lifelong member of Caroleen Baptist Church and was a member of the Choir and actively involved in the Evelyn Moss Women's Prayer Circle. Paulela enjoyed cooking, and attending church, but especially loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Earl Harrill; two sisters, Mildred Cabiniss and Sarah Nell Beam and three brothers, Tom Dill, Christo Dill and Paul Dill.
Survivors include one son, Charles Stephen Harrill and wife, Robin Woodruff Harrill of Salisbury, NC; daughter, Janie Harrill Buchanan of Southport, NC; two grandchildren, Nathan Harrill and Katy Buchanan; great-granddaughter, Caroline Harrill and two sister-in-laws, Peggy Dill of Wake Forest, NC and Opal Harrill of Mooresville, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Caroleen Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. E. Steven Ayers officiating. Interment will follow in High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
