Peggy Lowery

Peggy Haynes Lowery, age 76, of Caroleen, NC, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born November 15, 1937 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late William Vance Haynes and Gussie Lee Spakes Haynes. A graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1955, she worked for J. C. Cowan for over 30 years as a lab technician. Peggy enjoyed being a homemaker and taking good care of her family. She was a Methodist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bobby Eugene Lowery and by brother, Claude Haynes and sister, Hazel Suggs.
Survivors include two daughters, Terri Brackett of Forest City and Sharon Brigman and husband, Brian of Ellenboro; three grandchildren, Stephen Deyton, Lacy Brigman and Kyle Brigman all of Ellenboro and a number of extended family members.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend David Hawkins officiating. Inurnment will follow in Oak Grove United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
