R. Jolley

R.B. Jolley, age 96, of 555 Chimney Rock Road, Rutherfordton, NC, died Sunday, October 26, 2008 at White Oak Manor.
A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Zeb Vance and Cora Harris Jolley. He worked most of his life for Stonecutter Mills until his retirement and was a member of Adaville Baptist Church. He was an avid knife collector and enjoyed raising chickens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Inez Street Jolley; one daughter, Betty Jolley Willis; one son, Houston Jolley; one sister and a number of brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Lovia Ferree Jolley; one step-son, Dean Ferree of Rutherfordton; one step-daughter, Diane Tetrick of Forest City, four grandchildren, Joe Willis, Melanie Gowan, Angela Roberts all of Forest City and Alecia Ferree of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; four great grandchildren, Dawson Roberts, Hunter Gowan, Hayden Gowan and Skylar Gowan and a number of nieces and nephews.
