Rachel Swink

Rachel Waters Swink, age 45, died Friday, December 27, 2019 at her residence after an extended illness.

Rachel was born May 13, 1974 in Rutherford County to Vonnie Waters who resides in Rutherfordton and the late John Waters. She worked as a cook in the fast food industry, as a CNA and for R & D Weaving. Rachel was a member of Poors Ford Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, watching movies and listening to music. She especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Lee Swink; two infant sons, Austin Ray Swink and William Lee Swink and a special friend, David Reynolds.

Besides her mother, she is survived by a son, John Swink of Ellenboro; two sisters, Shirley Keeter and Tammy Waters (Anthony Fitzgerald) all of Ellenboro; uncle, Frank Harris of Rutherfordton; three nephews, Anthony Ryan Fitzgerald, Jr., Ray Swink, Tim Lane and a niece, Paisley Ann Fitzgerald; cousins, Denise and Raymond Waters, Kayla and Kayman Powell, Judy Harris and Frank Robert Harris. She is also survived by two great nephews, Nathan Swink and Nicholas Swink.

A memorial service will be conducted on a later date with Reverend Leroy Bridges officiating.
