Ralph Hensley

Ralph J. Hensley, age 82, of Caroleen, NC, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at Hospice House.
Ralph was born on January 14, 1928 in McDowell County, NC to the late Joe Hensley and Reba Elsie Noblett Hensley. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of Caroleen United Methodist Church. He worked as a Loom Technician for Burlington Industries-Caroleen Plant for 48 years before his retirement and was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Hicks and two brothers, George Hensley and James 'Jim' Hensley.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Liverett Hensley; two daughters, Virginia Greene and husband, James of Gaffney, SC and Phyllis Pliaconis and husband Anthony of Easley, SC; two sisters, Charlotte Owens of Caroleen and Ruby Childers and husband, Jimmy of Sandy Mush; one sister in-law, Betty Hensley of Caroleen. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
