Randy Tavernia, age 64, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his brother’s residence in Ellenboro.
Randy was born November 26, 1955 in Malone, New York to the late Donald Charles Tavernia and Theresa Mainville Tavernia. He worked for Hilldrup Moving & Storage/United Van Lines for many years. Randy served in the Army National Guard and loved his country dearly. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, and camping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Bradley James Tavernia
Those left to cherish his memory includes a son, Randy “Peter” Tavernia of Rutherfordton; three daughters, Dawn Greene (Jeffery) of Rutherfordton, Jennifer Tavernia (Paul Briggs) of Forest City and Jamie Tavernia of Gaffney; nine brothers, Anthony Tavernia (Debbie) of Ellenboro, Joey Tavernia (Boni) of Caroleen, Rodney Tavernia (Cindy) of Forest City, Mark Tavernia (Chris), Bruce Tavernia (Tracy) and Tod Tavernia (Kelly) all of Anderson, SC, Donnie Tavernia (Sandra) of Greenville, SC, David Gero (Frannie) of Henrietta and Carmen Mainville of Georgia; eight grandchildren, Bridget Bledsoe, Shawn Tavernia, Elisabeth Tavernia, Jazmine Evins,
Jr. Gray, Lynal Gray, Cirena Morris and Jadica Morris; several nieces and nephews.
A private service, for the family, will be conducted to honor Randy’s life.
