Reba Luckadoo Ford

Reba Luckadoo Ford, age 92, of Forest City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Fairhaven Home in Bostic.

Reba was born Sunday, May 8, 1932 in Rutherford County to the late W.T. and Carrie Elizabeth Greene Luckadoo. She was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1950 and a longtime member of Spencer Baptist Church. She was an office manager for Skyland Textiles for fifteen years and worked in the accounting office at AGI for ten years. She loved her church family and enjoyed going on trips with the Senior group. Reba enjoyed ceramics, sewing, traveling and thrift store shopping. Above all, she loved her family dearly. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles Eugene McCurry and Augustus Eugene Ford; sisters, Lucille Campfield, Libby Henson, Murial Short, Louise Toney and brother, W.T. “Lucky” Luckadoo, Jr.

Those left to treasure her memory include her son, Gary McCurry (Karen) of Forest City; grandson, Cary Matthew McCurry of Forest City; granddaughter, Angel Star McCurry of Gaffney, SC and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4th at Spencer Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Bruce Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time in the church auditorium.
