Regina Kay Lane, age 49, of Forest City, died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Hospice of Rutherford County.
Born October 13, 1964 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ingrid Byers Lane. Regina was a charter member of The Church of the Exceptional in Henrietta and attended Rutherford Life Services for more than 15 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Demaris Lane, and Perry J. and Annie Laura Byers, and an uncle, Bill Gardner.
She is survived by her aunt, Denise Byers Gardner of Caroleen; two uncles, P.J. Byers, and wife, Abbe, of Caroleen and Alan Lane and wife, Kathy of Florida; a number of cousins, Josh Gardner of Caroleen, Laura Gardner Neely, and husband, Eric, of Fayetteville, Christopher Byers, and wife, Cassie, and their children, Jackson and Jillian Byers, and Cameron Byers, and wife Sarah, all of Caroleen; Carolyn and Leroy Earley of Ellenboro; caregivers, Tommy and Jan Horn of Forest City, and Nancy Buchanan of Boiling Springs.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Caroleen First United Methodist Church with Reverend Lucy Robbins and Reverend Roy Byers officiating. There will be a reception in Regina's honor following the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private for the family.
