Reginald “Reggie” Keith Davis, 66, went home to be with his earthly parents and Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Rutherford Regional Healthcare, Rutherfordton.
A native of Ellenboro, Reggie was the son of the late Howard and Evelyn Butler Davis. He was a 1973 graduate of East Rutherford High School and attended Isothermal Community College. A lifelong member of Drury Dobbins Baptist Church, he served on the Board of Deacons, sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. He had worked in the textile industry and at Scott Vending. Reggie will be remembered for his love of people, animals, his sense of humor and laughter.
Reggie was beloved by many and will be missed by those to which he brought joy. Over the years his family had grown to include his loving church members, neighbors, as well as his fellow residents and caretakers at Fair Haven (Forest City) Nursing Home, where he had resided for the past year.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Rebecca Butler Summers of York, SC. Survivors include an uncle, William Clinton Summers, Sr. and cousins William Clinton Summers, Jr. and Christopher Scott Summers.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at Drury Dobbins Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 26,2020 with the Reverend Ronald Roberts and Mr. Bryson Ridings officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Drury Dobbins Baptist Church, 3603 Dobbins Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
