Robert "Bob" McDaniel

Robert “Bob” McDaniel, age 76, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at his residence.

Bob was born Wednesday, September 25, 1946 in Cleveland County to the late Robert Lee McDaniel and Ruthie Mae Ervin McDaniel. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Bob worked for PPG Industries for several years and owned and operated Bob and Mary’s Restaurant in Ellenboro. Bob was also a truck driver before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, cooking, and singing Southern Gospel music.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen McDaniel; two brothers, Danny and Albert McDaniel and sister, Lovie McDaniel.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Walker (Randy) of Forest City; brother, Doc McDaniel; sisters, Polly Piercy, Mary Morgan and a host of nieces and nephews. His precious fur baby, Pandy and grand fur babies, Jasper and Bentley.

A special thanks to his good friend, Ginger, and a special niece, Judy.

     No formal services are being planned at this time. His urn will be laid to rest at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
