Robert Huskey

Robert 'Bob' Eugene Huskey, Sr., age 77, of Forest City, NC, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Hospice House.
Bob was born December 15, 1933 in Knox County, TN to the late Charles Luther Huskey, Sr. and Dee Esther Shelton Huskey. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served during the Korean War. He was a retired Emergency Medical Technician and had the distinction of being one of the first paramedics in Rutherford County. He also owned and operated the B & B Kwik Mart in Harris. He attended the Forest City Four Square Church. He loved blue grass music, talking politics and NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Huskey and one grandson, Gavin Huskey.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Eartha Boone Huskey; one daughter, Barbara Sane and husband, Steve of Greenhill, NC; one son, Robert Huskey, Jr. of Forest City; three grandchildren, Hunter Huskey, Cherrish Ramsey and husband, Mick and Jared Sane; three step-grandchildren, Brandon Sane, Bryson Sane and Brianne Swink; three brothers, Clyde Huskey and wife, Erma of Forest City, Charles Huskey and wife, Dee of Duluth, GA, James Huskey and wife, Lillian of Jacksonville, NC; four sisters, Nancy Waltz of Spindale, Barbara Huskey of Rutherfordton, Carol Holder of Franklin, NC, Brenda Minnich and husband, Danny of Henrietta.
