Robert Lane

Robert "Bob" Lane, age 73, of Bostic, NC, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at his residence.
Bob was born January 31, 1938 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Kenneth Graham Lane and Maude Hollifield Lane. He was served in the Air National Guard for several years and owned and operated Auto Custom Air in Forest City. He enjoyed building custom saddles, racing, horseback riding and gardening.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Aleta Jane Lane.
Besides his mother, survivors include two daughters, Leta Lane Wellman and husband, Perry Ray of Bostic and Tracy Lane Gugel and husband, Ronald of Richmond, KY; one son, Robert Kenneth Lane, Jr of Charlotte; one sister, Cynthia Lane Blue and husband, Danny of Bostic. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Dana Wellman Enzor, Matthew Kenneth Wellman, Erin Jane Gugel, Jamie Rose Gugel and several nieces and nephews.
