Robert Pruett

Robert Eugene 'Mater Head' Pruett, age 77, of Cliffside, died Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.
He was born in Rutherford County to the late Walter Vernon Pruett and Ethel Beheler Pruett. He served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of Henrietta First Baptist Church. He had worked in textiles most of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Eugene Pruett and one brother and sister.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ruth Dorene Pruett; three sons, James Robert Pruett of Asheville, Donald Anthony Pruett of Sunset Beach and Jerry Keith Pruett of Forest City; one daughter, Janice Dorene Pruett of Henrietta; four grandchildren Johnny Pruett, Josh Pruett, Jennifer King and Maxx Pruett; three great grandchildren, Lennox King, Madison King and Marlie King.
