Rodger Birl Cole, age 41, of Hamrick Road, Mooresboro, NC, died Friday, May 20, 2011 at his residence.
Rodger was born on September 9, 1969 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Rodger Ghoy Cole and Frances McMahan Cole of Boiling Springs, NC. He was a member of Chase High School Graduating Class of 1987. He was a residential home builder, having owned and operated Rodger Cole Construction for many years after being passed down to him by his late father. He was full of life and enjoyed the outdoors along with fishing, hunting, horses and hanging out with his buddies, but his main focus and joy was his daughter, Kala Cole. His life was characterized by caring, sharing, working, helping and laughing. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his mother and daughter, he is survived by his fianc', Susan Hawkins; two sisters, Kym Saunders and husband, Richard of Forest City and Angie Bridges and husband, Paul of Boiling Springs; his grandmother, Ibera Cole of Spindale; two nieces, Bridgette Anderson and Nicola Bridges both of Boiling Springs and a host of family and friends who will dearly miss him.
