Roger Hamrick

Roger Hamrick, age 74, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at his residence.

Roger was born May 19, 1947 in Rutherford County to the late Lemuel Hamrick and Annie Lee Skipper Hamrick.  He served honorably in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He also served in the U.S. Navy and the Army National Guard later. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed fishing, reading and collecting knives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Earl Hamrick and sister, Wanda Ann Lovelace.

Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Angie Hamrick of Gastonia; sister, Deborah Euten of Forest City; four grandchildren, Kesley Miller, Michele Miller, McKenzie Miller and Chase Miller; and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several special nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday June 19, 2021, at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Donald Dover officiating. With Military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
