Roger Hutchins

Roger M. Hutchins, age 59, of E Dalton Road, Ellenboro, NC, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at his residence.
Roger was born June 17, 1952 in Rutherford County, NC to John Morrison Hutchins and the late Jessie Hamrick Hutchins. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1971. Roger served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps for 21 years and was a veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was a long time member of Caroleen Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also worked at Cone Mills and for Phillips-Lawing for several years. He was devoted to his family and friends and was always ready to help anyone in need. He loved his Lord, his Country and his Family.
In addition to his father, survivors include his wife of 30 years, Judi Hutchins; two sons, Shane Hutchins of Ellenboro, Jason Hutchins and wife, Jamie of Hawaii; one daughter, Tam Ruppe and husband, Lee of Casar; one granddaughter, Makayla Hutchins; three sisters, Sondra Childress and husband, Steve, Barbara Connell and husband, Steve and Susie Davis and husband, Gary all of Caroleen.
