Roger Jones

Roger Dale Jones, age 63, of Thomasville, NC, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Willow Ridge Rehab and Nursing Center.
Born July 30, 1953 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Jones and Virginia Elvis Jones. Roger worked as a tour guide in Pigeon Forge for fifteen years. He enjoyed watching pro-wrestling and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia "Patsy" Jones and brother-in-law, William "Bill" Lamb.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Mack Jones and fiancé, Krystin Loden; daughter, Tracy Robinson; two grandchildren, Sierra and Austin. He is also survived by two brothers, William "Buddy" Jones and wife, Robin and Reverend Billy Poe Jones and wife, Kathy; two sisters, Susie B. Jones and Linda Jones; a very dear friend, Pamela Carlton of Mtn. City, TN and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Mount Trolly Free Will Baptist Church, 1782 Barnhill Road, Galivants Ferry, SC 29544 with Reverend Perry Jones and Reverend Timmy Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
