Roger Taylor

Roger Nelson Taylor, age 61, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.

Roger was born March 7, 1959 in Rutherford County to the late Earl Ray Taylor and Helen Camp Taylor. He worked for Broyhill and Stonecutter Mills for many years and was a member of West Point Baptist Church. He enjoyed hiking along the local rivers, fishing, hunting, farming and raising chickens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Taylor Campbell.

Those left to cherish his memory, include his son, Brian Taylor (Amanda) of Forest City; two brothers, Earl Ray Taylor, Jr. (Rhonda) and Bobby Eugene Taylor; granddaughter, Presley Jade Taylor; nieces, Heather Taylor and Melissa Campbell Edwards; nephew, Jason Earl Taylor (Jennifer); four great nieces and three great nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 6, 2020 at West Point Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Keith Stephenson, Reverend Lance Scarlett  and Reverend Rulene Wease officiating.
