Ronald Richards

Ronald Richards, age 65, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at his residence.

Ronald was born December 30, 1954 in New Hartford, New York to the late Duain Grover Richards and Betty Horning Marlow. He worked in the restaurant industry for several years and was of the Baptist faith. Ronald enjoyed the outdoors and doing word puzzles. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed pitching horseshoes. Ronald was a “people person” who got along with everyone. He was kindhearted and was always considerate of others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, David Marlow.

Those left to cherish his memory include five siblings, Barbara Zalocha (Gary) of Frankfurt, NY, Darlene Richards of Forest City, Duain A. Richards (Georgia) of Herkimer, NY, Brenda Pries (Steven) of Tucson, AZ and David “Skip” Marlow, Jr. (Brenda) of Mohawk, NY. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A candlelight vigil will be held in honor of Ronald’s life at 7:30 pm on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 1246 Whitesides Road, Forest City.
