Ronnie Wall

Ronnie B. Wall, age 75, of Harris, NC, died Sunday, January 5, 2020 at his residence.

Ronnie was born December 15, 1944 in Rutherford County to the late Henry Ballas Wall and Louise Virginia Smith Wall. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1964 and a past member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. He worked at Cone Mills-Henrietta Plant for forty-two years. Ronnie was unofficially known as the “Sheriff of Harris” and worked to provide security at the Speedway Mobile Home Park. He enjoyed his friends and watching the races as Harris Speedway.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years, Nancy B. Wall and by two brothers.

Those left to cherish his memory include his caretakers, Drew and Paula Martin of Rutherfordton; niece, Jessica Lovelace; special friends, Barry Babb, Curtis Babb, Ray Pruett and the Robbie Spencer Family of Harris. He is also survived by his beloved pet dog, Buddy.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the Cliffside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Harrelson
