Rosa Adair

Rosa V. Adair, age 77, of Forest City, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Rosa was born April 27, 1943 in Rutherford County to the late Crawford Vickers and Nora Rumfelt Vickers. She worked for Fiber Industries/Hoechst-Celanese for thirty-one years before retirement. Rosa was a faithful member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and worked in VBS. She loved to volunteer at Yokefellow and for Chase Corner Ministries.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-six years, Walt Adair; son, Tony Adair (Beverly) of Forest City and a granddaughter, Taylor Leigh Adair of the home. She is also survived by a sister, Lillie Bumgardner of Rutherfordton and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Poe Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Harris conducting the committal service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the funeral home.
