Rosa Kennedy

Rosa Mae Kennedy, age 88, of Caroleen, died Monday, September 13, 2010 at Rutherford Hospital.
Rosa was born April 25, 1922 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Reverend Elisha Beachboard and Mamie Owensby Beachboard. She worked at Florence Mill for many years and was a member of the Sisk Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and loved taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold Lawson Kennedy; one daughter, Connie Mae Kennedy Davis; a grandson, James Edward Dobbins; one brother, Paul Beachboard and two sisters, Pearl Kuhlman and Ruby Biddy.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Kennedy Dobbins of Forest City, Gayle Kennedy Jenkins of Spindale and Martha Kennedy of Ellenboro. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
