Rosa Lee Thrift Bostic

Rosa Lee Thrift Bostic, age 90, of Cliffiside, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Rosa was born Saturday, September 4, 1932 in Rutherford County to the late Charlie Thrift and Julia Greene Thrift. She worked at Cone Mills-Cliffside Plant as a cloth inspector for twenty-nine years and was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church. Rosa enjoyed reading and watching her favorite TV programs. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, Yates Webb Bostic, Sr.; two sons, Charles and Roger Bostic; sisters, Marie Scruggs, Sarah Whitaker and a brother, Willie R. Thrift.

Left to cherish fond memories are her daughter, Brenda Randolph (Ray) of Chesnee, SC; sons, Richard David Bostic (Pam) of Raleigh, NC and Yates Webb Bostic, Jr. (Vicki) of Lexington, SC; sister, Margaret Lovelace of Boiling Springs, NC; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and eleven great great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 3rd at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Elgin officiating. Interment will follow at Cliffside Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
