Rose Lemons

Rose M. Lemons, age 73, of Ellenboro, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at her residence.

Rose was born Wednesday, October 1,1947 in Cleveland County to the late William Buckner and Essie Mae Owens Buckner.  Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She worked as a florist after she retired from PPG with over 25 years of service.  Rose was a remarkable baker and took great joy in preparing cakes for her family and friends.  She loved her grandkids and her dog “Butter”.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years Billy Lemons; children, Linda Wood, Terry Gettys, Robert Buckner, Lena Toney, Donna Evans (Tim); fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, one grand-dog and grand-cat.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Caroleen Congregational Holiness Church with Reverend Timmy Whitesides and Tim Evans officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
