Roy Lovelace

Roy F. Lovelace, age 74, of 139 Greene Road, Forest City, NC, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at his residence.
Roy was born on November 2, 1935 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Roy Lee Lovelace and Lula Belle Morgan Lovelace. As a US Army Veteran, he served in the Korean War. He was a longtime member of Harris First Baptist Church where he taught the Men's Sunday School Class. He worked as a planning clerk for the textile mills, having worked for Stonecutter Mill for 10 years and J.C. Cowan Plant for 35 years before retiring. He was an avid sports fan and played for and coached the Cowan Softball team, but most of all he loved his family, church and Lord.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Julia Stacey Lovelace; two daughters, Kelly Sloan and husband, Norman, of Hampstead, NC and Angie Price and husband, Greg, of Pacolet, SC; one son Ryan and wife, Debbie, of Shiloh. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
