Royce Bailey

Royce James Bailey, age 72, of Ellenboro, died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born October 13, 1943 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Walter James Bailey and Altha Cooper Bailey. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Royce worked for Brown Trucking Company as a terminal manager and for Cone Mills Avondale Plant for many years. He enjoyed studying the Bible, camping and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Philbeck and Faye Earley.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Greene Bailey; son, Royce James Bailey, Jr. and wife, Kathy of High Shoals community; daughter, Shannon McGinnis of Georgia; two sisters, Geraldine Nix of Sandy Mush and Pat Bedford of Forest City; two brothers, Bobby Ray Bailey and wife, Linda of Sandy Mush and Walter Bailey and wife, Ann of Shelby; brother in-law Clyde Earley of Sandy Mush. He is also survived by six grandsons, one granddaughter and special friends, Bill and Linda Bass of Charlotte.
