Ruby Huskey

Ruby Norman Huskey, age 88, of Henrietta, died Friday, November 18, 2011 at Holly Springs Rest Home.
Ruby was born on July 6, 1923 in Cherokee County, SC to the late Robert Norman and Julia Morris Norman. She worked for Burlington Industries and Cone Mills-Cliffside Plant before her retirement. She also worked in the lunchroom at Tri-Community Elementary School for several years. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and enjoyed any kind of outside work including vegetable gardening, flower gardening, and lawn care. She also loved animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Charles Fletcher Huskey; one grandson, James Huskey; five brothers, Max Norman, Roy Norman, Summie Norman, Lester Norman, James Norman and two sisters, Pauline Watterson and Mary Reed Conner.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Huskey of Mooresboro and Mike Huskey and wife, Nancy of Raleigh; one sister, Margaret Smith of Kings Mountain; three grandchildren, Stephenie Dobbins, Brian Huskey, Cameron Huskey; four great-grandchildren, Faith Dobbins, Cody Dobbins, Caroline Huskey and CeCe Huskey.
