Ruth Allred

Ruth Allred, age 83, of 234 Middle Street, Caroleen, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Hospice House.
She was born in Rutherford County to the late Martin Van Buren Jolley and Nellie Loretta Atkins Jolley. She was a long-time active member of Caroleen United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, was a choir member and a faithful worker in other ministries of the church. Other than her church, she also enjoyed reading and growing flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jewell Allred and by her sister, Blanche Jolley.
Survivors include her son and caregiver, Tracy Allred; brother, Danny Jolley of Cliffside; sister, Jennie Hudgins of Boiling Springs, NC and several nieces and nephews.
