Ruth Reese Johnson

Palm Harbor, FL

Born Ruth Reese in 1929 and married her beloved David L. Johnson in 1947. She was a wonderful 94 years young residing in Palm Harbor, Florida and formerly from Caroleen North Carolina. She was called to heaven on October 10th, 2023, in Palm Harbor Florida.

A native from Delavan New York, she was preceded in death by her parents Wilson and Irene Reese. She dedicated her life as a school librarian in both Florida and North Carolina.

She was survived by two daughters Vicky Taaffe of Phoenix AZ and Debra Johnson of Palm Harbor FL. Additionally, she was survived by four grandchildren, Michael Noll, Jonathan Noll, Darlene Taaffe, Amy Taaffe and a great-grandchild, Colton Crowther.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 am on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Harrelson Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be follow at 12:00 pm at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Reverend Miles Ensley will officiate.

Memorial Donations may be made to Caroleen Baptist Church, PO Box 489, Caroleen, North Carolina 28019.
