Ruth Watson

Ruth Smith Watson, 76, of Forest City, NC quietly went to be with her Lord on January 17, 2008. She was born July 29, 1931 in Rutherford County to the late Charlie Calhoun Smith and Eliza Rebecca Davis Smith.

She was a charter member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was one of the best cooks in Rutherford County and extended Christian hospitality to everyone who visited in her home. She loved the Lord and her family.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Benny Watson; three daughters, Dianne Abrams and husband Bill of Dallas, NC, Lavonne Holland and husband Eddie of Caroleen, NC and Jenitta Buckner and husband Randy of Suwanee, GA.; three sisters, Joyce Kimbrell and husband Dan, Grace Ruppe and husband Addie, Nancy Wall and husband Danny, two brothers Ray Smith, and Mike Smith and his wife Teresa all of Rutherford County; four grandchildren, Angie Abrams, Shannon Williams, Bryan Holland and Israel Buckner, one great grandson Carter Williams.
