Sara Clark Causby, age 91, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Sara was born October 8, 1928 in York County, SC to the late Phillip White Clark and Annie Mae Thomas Clark. She owned and operated Causby’s Trailer Park and worked at Cross-Stitch Industries in Cliffside for many years. She also worked for Asheville Eye Associates for several years. She was a member of Race Path Baptist Church and enjoyed puzzle books, gardening, flowers and birds.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Bill” Causby; son, Gary Clark Causby; great-grandson, Tyler Watkins and three brothers, John Lewis “Shot” Clark, Jimmy James Clark and Tom Clark.
Those left to cherish her memory include, daughter, Connie Jo Causby of Marion; two granddaughters, Kari Hayes of Campobello, SC and Heather Causby of Mooresboro; five great-grandchildren, Chase Hayes, Zaydon Hayes, Alan Holycross III, Chris Causby, Ryan Causby and two great-great grandchildren, Damian and Anthony Causby.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Race Path Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Cooper and Reverend Wesley Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
