Sarah Hudgins

Mrs. Sarah Grace Lowery Hudgins, age 81, of 161 Kings Drive, Forest City, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Oak Grove Healthcare Center in Rutherfordton, NC following an extended illness. Mrs. Hudgins was born April 17, 1926 in Henrietta, NC to the late Jim Lowery and Lenora Revis Lowery. She was a graduate of Tri-High School. She married Fred Hudgins, Jr. on September 8, 1946. She lived in Lawton, Oklahoma from 1968 until 1998 during her husband's Army career. She worked as a cashier for Furr's Cafeteria for over 20 years in Lawton, OK. She and husband returned to Rutherford County in 1998 after his retirement. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Freddie Dean Hudgins in 1998.
She is survived by her husband of the family home; a daughter-in-law, Judy Hudgins of Ohio; and two grand-daughters, Deana Hudgins, and Jamie Jarvis and husband Tyler.
Services for Mrs. Hudgins will be conducted on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ad Hopper and Reverend David Jendry officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
