Sarah Vickie Bright, age 61, of Sandy Mush, fought the good fight and won the victory on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills while being surrounded by her family.
Vickie was born Tuesday, November 15, 1960 in Burke County, NC. She received an Associate of Arts Degree from Cleveland Community College and was the owner and operator of Victory Mortgage for many years. Vickie was a longtime and faithful member of the Element Church. She lived out her faith and was known for her unconditional love for others. Vickie exemplified Christ in all she did. She sacrificed for others and was dedicated to her God and her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Neal and Virginia Farrar; mother, Shirley Hill; grandson, Logan Shahan and granddaughter, Jenna Bright.
Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of thirty-seven years, Kevin Bright; her children, Jacob Bright (Kristin) of Shelby, Ash-Leigh Patito (Matthew) of Sandy Mush, Jessica Shahan (Robbie) of Rutherfordton, Matthew Bright (Amber) of Sandy Mush and a special daughter of the home, Jocelynn Moody; sister, Teri Shires of Ellenboro, Kenneth Farrar of Corpus Christie, Texas, Richard Farrar of Charlotte and her in-laws, Johnny and Beatrice Bright of Henrietta. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Austin, Gavin, Lily, Mikaela, Gabe, Maddie, Kason, Kinleigh, Rhiannon, Brynlee, Lucas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and her fur babies, Gabby, Alex and Bruno.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Element Church with Reverend Neal Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 26th at the funeral home.
The family requests that everyone who attends the service wear bright colors to celebrate Sarah’s life. Please no traditional dark colors.
