Steve W. Thompson

     Stephen W. Thompson, age, 67, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at his residence. 

     Steve was born Friday, June 1, 1956 in Rutherford County to the late Walter Vernon Tompson and Myrtle Edwards Thompson. He was a truck driver most of his life.  Steve loved fishing and working on muscle cars.

       In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Smith.

     Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael Thompson, Caden Thomspon and Caleb Thompson; a brother Weldon Thompson (Tina); his caretaker and special nephew, Chris Smith (Nicole) and a number of other nieces and nephews.

     A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 18^th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
