Steve Brooks

Steve Brooks, age 63, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at his home with his loving daughters at his side.

Steve was born Sunday, March 22, 1959, in Rutherford County to the late Bill Brooks and Betty Melton Brooks. He worked for Brooks Body Shop and Used Cars for many years and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Steve enjoyed working on old cars and enjoyed watching dirt track races. He was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. Steve loved his family dearly.

Left to cherish fond memories include his daughters, Shelly Roberts (Jamie) and Jill Van Dyke all of Forest City; grandchildren, Paige Floyd, Jordan Radford (Dorian Borne), Cait’Lynn Crotts, Grant Roberts, Max Roberts and a great-grandson, Jaxson Borne. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Bradley and brothers, Gary Brooks, Ricky Brooks, Danny Brooks and Billy Brooks and by his pet dog, Dakota.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Caroleen Congregational Holiness Church with Pastor Tim Whiteside officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday at the church.
