Steve Mcginnis

Steve "Bama" McGinnis, age 59, of McGinnis Road, Forest City, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his daughter's house in Mooresboro.
Born June 7, 1956 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late Jesse James McGinnis and Emma Jane Bradley McGinnis. He owned and operated Steve's Roofing Company for most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed golfing and shooting pool.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, April McGinnis and five brothers, Jimmy, Bobby, Leroy, Ronnie and Mike McGinnis.
Survivors include his daughter, Windy Owens and husband, Richard of Mooresboro; son, Brock McGinnis of Forest City; sister, Barbara Brackett of Forest City; brother, Ervin McGinnis and wife, Libby of Mooresboro; four grandchildren, Travis McGinnis, Gus Owens, Alex Owens and Miranda McGinnis; great-grandchild, Khali McGinnis; two sister-in-laws, Sheryl McGinnis and Pat McGinnis both of Forest City and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Home with Reverend Steven Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
