Steve Rumfelt

Steve Rumfelt, age 52, of Gilkey, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Steve was born May 21, 1968 in Rutherford County to the late Norris Rumfelt and Ruby Arrowood Rumfelt.  He was a graduate of R-S Central and of the Holiness Faith. Steve was a self-employed Tree Arborist and owned and operated “Trees R Us” for several years. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding motorcycles, fishing and taking time to be with his daughters and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Teresa Rumfelt; two daughters, Stevie Rumfelt of Bostic and Cassidy Ellenburg of Spindale; three grandchildren, Liam Edwards, Poppy Rumfelt and a soon to be born grandchild being carried by Cassidy. He is also survived by a sister, Wanda Fowler Queen (Hank) of Gilkey; two great aunts and a great uncle.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced by Harrelson Funeral Home.
