Sybil Keeter

Sybil A. Keeter, age 85, of Forest City, NC, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Willow Ridge Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 4, 1930 in Polk County, she was a daughter to the late William Green and Alice Arledge Green. She was a graduate of Mills Spring High School, class of 1948. Sybil worked as a Dietary Supervisor for Rutherford Hospital for twenty-two years before retirement and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church of Polk County. She enjoyed flower gardening and needle work.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Allen and second husband, Thomas Keeter; three sisters, Ruth Turner, Doris Edwards, Josephine Price and brother, Herbert Green.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Altman and husband, Steve of Lake City, SC and Dena Hardin of Salisbury; two sisters, Stella Searcy of Rutherfordton and Carolyn Blackwell and husband, J.C. of Sunnyview, NC; two brothers, Clifford Green and wife, Lillie Mae of Green Creek, NC and Harold Green and wife, Peggy of Baltimore, Maryland. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Creighton Lovelace officiating.
