Sybile Arrowood

Sybile Burgess Arrowood, age 73, of Forest City, died Monday, August 22, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born on Monday, October 5, 1942 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Clarence Lee Burgess and Emma Ruth Gilbert Burgess. Sybile worked for Cone Mills-Avondale Plant for over thirty years before retirement and attended Grace Chapel of Forest City (formerly Forest City Foursquare Church). She enjoyed working on puzzle books, travelling and shopping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Fred Arrowood, Jr. and granddaughter, Amber Renaye Arrowood.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia Jones of Forest City; three sons, Jerry Dean Arrowood, John "J.J" Arrowood and wife, Tanaye and Phillip Arrowood all of Forest City; two brothers, Bobby Lee Burgess and wife, Bertha of Caroleen and Hubert Burgess of Forest City; one sister, Geretha Reed of Charlotte. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Harrelson Funeral Home.
