Tammey Kimbrell Thompson, age 52, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017.
Born March 29, 1965 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Boyce Daniel Kimbrell and Joyce Smith Kimbrell. Tammey was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1983 and worked as a CNA and the Activities Director for Fair Haven Home in Bostic. She was member of Buffalo Baptist Church in Shelby and had a heart of care and compassion for others. Tammey was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading the Bible. She also took pleasure in making people laugh. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Mabe.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of twelve years, Dwayne Thompson; daughter, Keeley Thompson of the home; her brother and caregiver, Paul Watkins of Forest City; three sisters, Shirley Lovelace and husband, Rudy of Gaffney, Linda Sylvester and husband, Jim and Darlene Upton and husband, Joe all of Forest City. She is survived by her father and mother in-law, Fred and Dorothy Thompson of Summerville, SC.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Matt Mills and Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
