Tammy Murray Nolen, age 51, of Mooresboro, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 in Greenville, SC.
Born September 24, 1964 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Wayne "Murph" Murphy and Barbara Ann Skipper who resides in Forest City. As a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1983, Tammy worked for Cone Mills for many years and also as a Certified Nurse's Assistant for several years. She was a member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed taking care of people. She was known as an outgoing, humorous and caring person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne "Ronnie" Murray and step-sister, Laverne G. Blanton.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Arnold Nolen; step-mother, Gaynelle V. Murray of Mooresboro; special niece, Allison N. Murray of Mooresboro and special nephew Matthew D. Murray of Duncan, SC. She is also survived by one step-sister, Kimberly Smith and husband, L.D. of Dry Fork, VA and step-brother, Derek Vipperman of Southerlin, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Lance Scarlett and Reverend Billy Poe Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
