Teresa Wells

August 12, 1961 — April 25, 2018

Teresa Wells, age 56, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born August 12, 1961 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Lou Wells and Carolyn Frady Wells Walker. She was a graduate of Broome High School, class of 1979. Teresa was a faithful member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church and lovingly served as the Supervisor for the Women's Homeless Shelter at the Grace of God Rescue Mission for nineteen years. Teresa was known as a selfless and loving person. She loved cooking for others and caring for those who needed help and was God's angel to many. She will be missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Johnny Ray Wells and a brother, Steve Wells.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, April Wells of Forest City and Amanda Wells of Polk County; one son, Kyle Wells of Lake Lure; two aunts, Joyce Durham of Boiling Springs, SC and Margaret Holt and husband, Tommy of Spartanburg. She is also survived by a host of "Adopted Kids" and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Cash and Mr. Terry Hagaman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are respectfully requested to the Grace of God Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 212, Forest City, NC 28043 or to Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church, 1938 U.S. Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043.
