Teresa Burton Price

Teresa Burton Price of Rutherfordton passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her residence.

Teresa was born in McDowell County to the late Molt Arthur Burton and Alpha Lawhern Burton. She worked for J.C. Cowan for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Teresa loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her children and taking care of her grandchildren. Her family still remembers her delicious cooking. She also enjoyed going on camping trips in the mountains and trips to the beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott Price; a beloved grandson, Cody Condrey; brothers, Don, Walter and Alfred Burton and two sisters, Dorothy Tilley and Doris Bolick.

Left to cherish fond memories are her three daughters, Angela Shytle (Dean) of Ellenboro, Denise Kaufman (Todd) of Inman, SC and Christy Howell (Bill) also of Inman; sister, Dora Price of Forest City; seven grandchildren, Briana Hooper, Ashley Lovelace (Avery), Andrea Hooper, Zachery Condrey, Delas Hooper (Sidney), Kamron Shytle (Emily), Lucas Condrey and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Billy Bostic and Reverend Jason Madison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
