Terry J. Mull, age 63, of Ellenboro, NC, died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Hospice House in Forest City.
Terry was born on April 8, 1947 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Paul E. Mull and Helen 'Gay' Beard Mull. He served in the US Navy on the submarine USS Nathan Hale during the Cold War. He worked for many years as a longshoreman mechanic in Charleston, SC. He was a man who loved life and animals. He and his wife, Johnna, were avidly involved with the rehabilitation of wildlife. From building sailboats, racing motorcycles, cycling, competitive rowing and restoring railroad cars, he enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors, the water and traveling. He was also a member of the U.S. Rocketry Association.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Johnna Mull; two sons, Terry J. Mull, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Dayton, OH and Shane R. Mull and wife, Elizabeth of Leesville, SC; two step-sons, Jeff Hasty and wife, Jessica of O'Fallon, IL and Daniel Hasty and wife, Dana of Slocomb, AL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
