T. J. Byers, age 36, of Nashville, Tennessee formerly of Forest City, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his home in Nashville.
T.J. was born December 3, 1987 in Cleveland County. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 2006. T.J. was an avid sports fan and followed Duke Blue Devils Basketball, the Carolina Panthers, Clemson Tigers Football and loved playing golf. He was known as a “people person” who had a charismatic personality. T.J. was working in Nashville as a Healthcare Recruiter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Lee Byers, Sr.; his grandparents, Lawrence and Dora Ann Matheny, Sally and Tony Oaks, Virgil Hall and Maxine Hall.
He leaves behind his parents, Susan and Melvin Hall of Forest City; children, Addisyn Byers, Rylee Byers and Grady Byers all of Bostic; sister, Leah Byers of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Matt Byers (Elizabeth) of Forest City and Sean Hall of Whitsett, NC; his girlfriend, Elizabeth Baxley of Nashville and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of T.J.’s life will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, November 11th at the Harmon Street Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Queen and Reverend Randy Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
