Tommy Leverette

Tommy L. Leverette, age 64, of Old Stonecutter Road, Rutherfordton, NC, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born October 14, 1949 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Earl Timon Leverette and Juanita Leverette. He worked in the textile industry most of his life and was member of Harris Baptist Church. Tommy enjoyed bowling, playing softball and car racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck Leverette.
Survivors include his wife, of twenty-seven years, Shirley Patterson Leverette; daughter, Donna Gaines and husband, Scott of Chesnee, SC; step-daughter, Lori Toms of Ellenboro; step-son, John McKinney of Rutherfordton; two brothers, Cecil Leverette and wife, Gail of Spindale and Wade Leverette and wife, Kathy of Caroleen. He is also survived by granddaughter, Jessica Bradley; four step grandchildren, Jamilah Toms, D.J. Toms, Jason Gaines, Greg Toms and great-granddaughter, Suzanna Brackett.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Leon Brown and Reverend Roger Hudgins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
