Tracy Bradley Carkees

Tracy Bradley Carkees, age 50, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.  Tracy was born Wednesday, March 31, 1971 in Rutherford County to Johnny Bradley who resides in Forest City and Mary Van Deventer who lives in Rutherfordton. She worked mainly in healthcare most her life and was a dedicated homemaker. Tracy was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Forest City. She loved taking trips to the mountains, camping and fishing.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Bradley, Jr. and Michael Bradley.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include four children, James Penland of Rutherford County, Wayne Penland of Alaska, Ashley Penland of Asheville, NC and Tiffany Cates (Jason) of Texas; sister, Mary Ann Head (Raymond) of Rutherfordton and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating.
