Velnia Wallace

Velnia 'Becky' Wallace, age 72, of 4625 Highway 64, Union Mills, NC, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at Willow Ridge Nursing Center.
Becky was born July 13, 1936 in Stokes County to the late Fount Dorsett and Lucille Bodehanner Dorsett. She was of the Methodist faith and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at the Jamestown Flea Market and each year she and her husband would send coats, scarves, and gloves to the needy for winter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathie English; three sisters, JoAnn Loggins, Ruth Robertson and Frances Simpson and two brothers, Larry Dorsett and Jimmy Dorsett.
Survivors include her husband, Ray J. Wallace; two daughters, Sharon Moon and her husband, Tommy of Pinnacle, NC and Debra Lynn Dowis and her husband Mark of Buffalo, SC; one son, Gary Rogers and his wife Nancy of Traveler's Risk, SC; two step- daughters, Sharon Elliot of Rutherfordton and Tammy Smiley and her husband Andy of Boiling Springs, SC; two step-sons, Gary Wallace and his wife, Sherry of Union Mills
and Larry Wallace of Golden Valley; one sister, Barbara Jean Berrier and her husband Roy of Mt. Airy, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
