Victoria Kennedy

Victoria 'Vicky' Kopera Kennedy, age 91, of 196 Caroleen Street, Caroleen, NC, died Friday, November 14, 2008. A native of Rome, New York, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Sophia Dominski Kopera. She was a long-time member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and served our country during World War II and had the distinction of being a member of the 1st established WAC Army unit. She loved to babysit her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to care for her plants.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Claude Thomas Kennedy; two sons, Butch Kennedy and his wife Becky of Columbus, NC and Ronnie Kennedy of Caroleen; two daughters, Margo Park of Forest City and Cynthia McCraw and her husband Steve of Ellenboro. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
