Viola Luckadoo

Viola Silvers Luckadoo, age 88, of Henrietta, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Fairhaven Home. She was born in Yancey County, NC on June 24, 1920 to the late Marve Silvers and Martha Jane Wheeler Silvers. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Henrietta and was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing for her family, craftwork and cooking. She especially loved making holiday cupcakes for school parties.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Albert Alexander Luckadoo; five brothers, Max Silvers, Bryant Silvers, Thurman Silvers, Irvin Silvers and Wheeler Silvers and three sisters, Merle Dobbins, Ruby Humphries and Mae Faulkner.
She is survived by five daughters, Sarah Moore and her husband, Bob of Six Points, Barbara Wingard and her husband, Ralph of Waxhaw, NC, Betty Wall and her husband, Wayne of Caroleen, Mary Porter and her husband, James of Cliffside and Pam McCraw and her husband, Dale of Henrietta; one brother, Clarence Silvers of Forest City. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
